They are currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer (Network Security) - Windhoek to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the network pre-sales and design environment. 

Do diagnoses, fault finding, problem solving and support and maintenance in all network areas including ISP. Have an understanding of a multi-vendor environment with the primary focus on Cisco. Be part of project planning and implementation.

Strong knowledge and experience of complex networks and troubleshooting methods 

Solid understanding of vulnerabilities, threats, risks, compliance and other aspects of security governance Display a strong client service orientation Demonstrate specialist infrastructure knowledge

Ensure that assigned infrastructure at the client site is configured, installed, tested and operational. Identify problems and errors prior to or when they occur, and log all such incidents in a timely manner with the required level of detail with all the necessary. Investigate assigned third line support calls and identify the root cause of incidents and problems, and ensure the efficient and comprehensive resolution of incidents, events, problems and requests.

What we expect you to do

• Solid understanding of vulnerabilities, threats, risks, compliance and other aspects of security governance
• Network Monitoring: Tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, etc
• Network (LAN, WAN) support
• Remote connectivity (VPN technologies)
• Bandwidth optimization tools
• Remote access support
• Comply and follow policies and procedures closely
• Network and project design documentation

Here's what we are looking for in candidates for this job

• 5 to 8 years’ experience in Network Security with at least 2 years’ experience in Network architecture and design working with enterprise clients within a large scale (preferably multinational) technology services environment
• Previous experience in the operational management and monitoring of multiple customer security environments
  
• Proven experience and expertise within all areas of network security technologies, vendor products and security governance
  
• Experience in Cisco (Firewall, IPS, IPSEC VPN, SSL VPN)
  
• Added advantage will be experience in Palo Alto (UTM), Check Point, Bluecoat (Proxy / Reverse Proxy) 
• Experience with Juniper (Netscreen / SRX) Iron Port (Web, Email Proxy), McAfee IPS / Epo & F5 (LTM, ASM,APM
  
• CCNP Security Certified or equivalent hands-on experience and other relevant accepted network certifications
  
• Strong team player and good communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Able to take ownership and drive to completion.
