Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Marketing Manager - Security to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives.

As a Senior Marketing Manager, for our Security Business, at Dimension Data, your key function will be to assume the strategic marketing owner role for the business unit, leading the go-to-market strategy for the business, working with and through executive leadership for the business unit, sales executives, regional marketing and shared marketing services at a global level.

What we expect you to do

  • You will operate at a global level and work with the Security Business leadership to translate strategic business objectives into marketing objectives and drive the execution.
  • Drive the overall go-to-market strategy, positioning, planning and selling of solutions and services.
  • Conduct market research on target markets, competitors and existing and potential clients and use the intelligence and information to inform their marketing activities, develop marketing models and to identify the market requirements for current and future products and services.
  • You will need to work with relevant product managers and product marketers to develop and implement high impact and differentiated solution positioning and messaging.
  • Develop and execute sales enablement tools including relevant collateral and training, blueprint buyer journeys and map buyer decisions at each stage of the buying cycle.
  • Own the development of relevant campaigns and programmes and business pipeline activities that will generate demand.
  • You will be required to serve as a subject matter expert on messaging, positioning of the solution or service in support of marketing programmes, partner activities, public relations and analyst relations.
  • Uncover thought-provoking topics and effective strategies to position the Business Unit as an industry thought leader, with specific emphasis on understanding business value.   Support the Business Unit executive in their positioning as industry thought leaders and invest in positioning yourself in a similar light.

Qualifications

Here's what we are looking for in candidates for this job

  • A relevant Sales or Marketing Management degree or post-graduate qualification.
  • At least 5 – 8 years’ experience in a marketing and business development role within an IT systems integration and/or service company.
  • Experience in a multi-national environment is preferred with the relevant experience in developing business plans and multi-phase programmes across multiple geographies.
  • Superb stakeholder engagement skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills that enable you to communicate complex ideas succinctly and in a compelling way.
  • Demonstrate your strategic thinking and leadership ability, driving campaigns, value propositions and managing multiple projects.
  • An outcome-orientated, quantitative and qualitative problem-solver that is comfortable with ambiguity and displays pattern-recognition abilities.
