Job Description
Our upholstery position is for anyone who has knowledge on how to decorate basic furniture and fixtures,
although it will be more beneficial if you do have upholstery experience. This position is just a one-time task and
you will be on-call, but we love our applicants, so if you wish, you can be a part of our company permanently as an
assistant for our interior decorator, if your ideas/performance are commendable. The upholstery position is for our
new pop-up store. We are excited for the store and looking for anyone who has an eye for fashion and who would
be glad to help us out!
TASKS and RESBONSIBILITIES:
• Sewing and cutting fabrics
• Should be able to lift heavy objects and handle sharp objects
• Should be able to travel and transport objects and/or furniture with a vehicle
• Should communicate with the designer/manager/owner regularly
• Will require the following physical demands: lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and
balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling
Qualifications
• A driver’s license
• Punctual and trustworthy
• High School or GED equivalent
• Must know English and math (basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios;
and solve practical problems)
• Basic upholstery skills (sewing, furniture repair, etc.)
• Should have your own sewing/re-modeling equipment or tools (fabrics will be provided by the company)
• Should be available on call/flexibility (seasonal availabilities)
• An eye for finished touches and trends in fashion (textiles, embellishments, interior design elements)
