Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

  • Carry out night shift fitter cover on the Mobile Maintenance Train.
  • Maximise machine availability.
  • To operate the OTM as required.
  • To complete maintenance and breakdown repairs as required

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Report any defects found on machine & carry out repairs within required competency level for the role, as directed.
  • Undertake maintenance activities in accordance with the Vehicle Maintenance Instruction (VMI)
  • Manage VMI schedules and machine repairs using Network Rails Fleet Asset Management System (FAMS)
  • Assist MMT Support Technician with required tasks.
  • To carry out planned maintenance duties in line with company policies & procedures & work instructions.
  • Ensure working environment is maintained as required by 5S.
  • Inform manager of any issues / problems in a timely manner, which are outside your remit of control.
  • Operate machine equipment on site as required by the planned work.
  • Ensure regularly updated & compliant with company policies & procedures.
  • Awareness of company communication, i.e. e-mails, etc.
  • Be responsible for the care of company assets in the individual’s possession.
  • To undertake training as required.
  • Ensure compliance with competence assessment systems.
  • Liaise with customer and contractors as required
