Job Description

Primary Responsibilities and Activities

  • Establish solid relationship with Business - understanding their pain areas, new requirements, road map, etc., and address/algin to them seamlessly.
  • Constantly review and align CE/ESOL Business processes/practices toward Industry Best processes/practices.
  • Design solutions and new features and present/sell to Business.
  • Manage CE/ESOL Business Expectations and Escalations promptly.
  • Align closely with Harsco IT Strategies.
  • Constantly follow Oracle, focusing on new features, releases, etc.,
  • Oversee/extend Production Support of Oracle 12.2.9, per Service Levels.
  • Engage Oracle Functional, Technical and DBA resources appropriately across Support, and New Solutions and New Projects Implementation.
  • Focus on full/effective utilization of self/team constantly reducing ticket inflow, flag repetitive issues as Problem tickets and resolve with permanent solutions.
  • Ensure majority of the effort of the team is spent towards Value Added Services – New Solutions, New Projects Implementation, etc.,
  • Focus on Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Focus on Automations and Innovative/non conventional solutions.
  • Coach/guide and motivate the team to elevate their Technical Skills as well Managerial Skills to grow horizontally as well as vertically.

 

Qualifications

 

Experience

Resource should have 14+ years of Oracle ERP Solution/Consulting Experience.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong Oracle ERP Applications hands on experience to design and present/sell the solutions self.
  • Solid Oracle ERP Production Support experience, handson as well as Project Lead/Manager.
  • 7 to 10 End to Oracle ERP Implementations experience, as SME as well as Project Lead/Manager.
  • Solid SME skills in Finance and/or Procurement.
  • Lead large/long Implementation Projects.
  • Solid Client Facing/Stake Holders and Escalation/Expectation Management experience.
  • Solid experience in Month, Quarter and Year Closure.
  • Solid experience in Technical aspects of Oracle ERP, not just Functional.
  • Solid experience in at least 3 Industries Business Processes and Practices.
  • Solid experience in IT Governance, ITIL, Internal Controls and SOX/SOD.
  • Solid experience in SDLC for large waterfall model implementation projects.
  • Solid experience prioritizing/delivering Support, Enhancements and Projects with same team.
  • Solid People Management skills and Interpersonal skills.
  • Solid slide pack making and presenting skills.

 

Working Conditions

There is a requirement and expectation of this role for some travel to other sites and/or offices within Harsco.  This role will have direct reports and will report into Global Oracle Applications Lead.
