Job Description

General Purpose:

This position is a general maintenance position for upkeep of the facility, including plumbing, electrical, welding and carpentry tasks.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Perform tasks for the upkeep of the buildings and the grounds
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all machinery
  • Perform oil changes and fluid level checks on all forklifts and machinery
  • Use carpentry, plumbing and electrical for minor repairs
  • Perform preventive maintenance of pumps and motors
  • Preform basic welding tasks, ie. mig and stick welding
  • Maintain a clean and pristine work area at all times
  • Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management
  • Serve as liaison with vendors for facility repairs
  • Purchase equipment/supplies for facility related repairs

Qualifications

Basic Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two or more years of maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • General knowledge in maintenance, specifically in carpentry, plumbing, welding and electrical skills
  • General knowledge of working with smalls pumps and motors
  • Ability to read and understand manuals to assist in repairs
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekend hours
