Responsible for the development and implementation of total byproduct waste & innovative solutions (recycling, reuse, waste minimization, etc.) for Client programs. In conjunction with Commercial and Operations researches, designs, presents and executes these innovative solutions across all facility operations and existing/future client base, as applicable. Responsible for identifying & developing strategic relationships with vendors to execute recycling, reuse and waste minimization opportunities.

• Researches and initiates dialogue with experts within the recycling/reuse industry to develop recycling/ reuse/ waste minimization solutions for Client waste streams
• Works with Commercial and Operations teams to identify and prioritize Client waste streams for innovative solutions
  • Assesses client current programs
  • Jointly develops/presents plans and timing for potential solutions to Clients
  • Works with Operations to develop roll-out plan for Clean Earth facilities
  • Leads/manages implementation of innovative solutions across Operations
  • Works with Commercial to spread new innovative solutions/best practices to other Clients
• Participates in Customer Facing meetings and Commercial activities as they relate to Innovative Solutions for potential/current Clients.
  • Travel to Client Meetings, present/deliver Innovative Solutions, Strategy and Value
  • Travel to Client locations for site walks/bid walks, data gathering
  • Participate in Client business reviews as needed
  • Work with Commercial and Operations teams to complete RFPs and strategy to win business

·       Develop strategic vendor relationships and outlets for recycling, reuse solutions

• • Identify solutions needed and potential outlets for these solutions
  • Works to develop strategy, logistics, data capture, reporting and pricing for outlets
  • Participate in industry work groups as identified

·       Develop database of vendor Outlets for internal Clean Earth use

• •  Map known disposal outlets to Clean Earth facility geography
  •  Map recycling, reuse outlets and solutions to Clean Earth facility geography
  •  Ensure that database is maintained as new outlets are identified

·       Conduct and participate in internal business reviews. This position will interact and present review information with/to General Manager, Vice Presidents and other Management.

·       Perform related work and additional duties as requested/assigned by supervisor.

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in environmental science or other related field.
• Five or more years of waste management, recycling experience
• Two years’ experience in Client Management/Account Management/Project Management/Vendor Relations
• Sound knowledge in using technology & systems (Word, PowerPoint, intermediate use of Excel, formulas, v-lookups)

       Preferred:

• Demonstrates expertise with RCRA and DOT regulations/interpretations
• 40 hour HAZWOPER Certificate
• Training in DOT, RCRA, Project/Account Management
• Prior experience assessing, building &/or managing total waste programs
• Excellent knowledge in waste management, recycling, reuse,  RCRA regulations

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time.
• Must be able to regularly access and use general office equipment including phones, computers, copiers, etc.
• Must be able to work in a busy, often distracting work environment that is generally climate controlled.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
