Job Description

Entry level position managing global production and non-production materials and services sourcing via automated MRP, Non-I PO requisition and electronic work flow processes. 

This role reports to Americas Sourcing Leader to secure continuous supply of quality specific materials, supplies and services 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Will include the following, other duties may be assigned

•    Works with assigned commodity group, planning, organizing task and projects
•    Work with large data sets and apply data integrity criteria both with accuracy and timely execution 
•    Participate in the Supplier Quality activity - reject review, corrective action completion
•    Must be capable of prioritizing requirements and handle multiple projects at one time
•    Review purchase request for material via MRP or manual purchase requisition
•    Work closely with Buyers to monitor purchase orders and maintain delivery schedules
•    As applicable, must be able to expedite critical components and overdue purchase orders
•    Resolve supplier issues, including quality, invoicing issues, secondary operations
•    Ability to develop productive working relationship with both internal/external customers is required
•    Manage Purchase Price Variance (PPV) to avoid supplier payment and supply interruptions  
•    Develop, assemble, review, analyze and interpret various reports, attention to detail required
•    Ability to understand and evaluate specific commodities in a global procurement market 
•    Ability to read engineering blueprints or various relevant technical documents 
•    Must have ability to gain technical understanding of assigned commodities
•    Solid mathematical, verbal and written communication skills required
•    Action item management for key sourcing projects
•    Other duties as require and assigned 
 

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
•    Purchasing experience in an automated MRP environment, preferably using Infor LN. 
•    Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, especially excel (required)
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
•    Degree in Business Administration or Technical Associates Degree preferred  
•    Minimum educational requirement – High School Diploma (GED) with 3 plus years purchasing experience
•    MRO and Distribution Purchasing a plus
