Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assume ownership and responsibility for the on-time and on budget execution of the assigned Engineered To Order (ETO) projects.
  • Established a culture of Safety First, Accountability for Results and Quality at the Source within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Ensures the alignment of labor, materials, engineering and quality toward the realization of all project deliverables as needed to meet customer and internal requirements.
  • Develops and implements counter measures to deviations from agreed upon project milestones and project expectations.  
  • Assemble, leads, develops and trains a team of multi-disciplined shop floor contributors in the efficient execution of project deliverables within prescribed financial boundaries
  • Establish and regiments a progress reporting cadence with the Leadership and PMO teams with the occasional participation in team meetings with customers  
  • Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement in project execution using Lean Managing for Daily Improvement methods.
  • Provide accurate project completion projections along with details of anticipated risks and preemptive counter measures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned for which the skills, experience and training align with realization of desired outcomes.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Completion of Post-Secondary school education in an Engineering discipline and or extensive hands-on leadership experience in the building of custom ETO capital equipment
  • Proven track record of leading shop floor teams and converting plans into action with defined results and timelines
  • Experience in interpreting and trouble shoot engineering documents and providing solutions to progress hindering situations
  • Strong organization skills supported by lean methodologies
  • Able to anticipate and quickly assess issues and providing applying immediate trouble shooting tools supported by well thought out and communicated counter measures.

  • Must be proficient in MS Office with the knowledge and skills needed to develop edit and manage projects through MS Project software.
