Job Description

You must be an ambassador of safety and must foster continual safety and environmental improvements. You must be able to performs a variety of duties in laying out of various parts, sub-assemblies and machines for priming, touch and final painting. Properly prepare bare steel, aluminum, and stainless steel for priming. Must be able to mix all types of primer and paint for spray application. Must be able to prime parts, frames, and assemblies completely without runs, sags or overspray. You must have experience of metal preparation for application of primer or finish paint coatings of component parts, weldment, machined pieces, sub-assemblies and complete machines as well as experience with paint application equipment to include air, airless, air assisted systems, quart pot, heaters, agitators and spray gun cleaning unit. Please have experience using viscosity cup, paint strainers, thermometer, stop watch, overhead cranes and forklifts. You must perform housekeeping duties for paints, paint filters, primers, thinning agents, equipment, storage cabinets, paint booth and adjacent areas during and after priming and painting of equipment. You must participate in Continuous Improvement/Kaizen activities. You must be proficient in the use of pneumatic tools as well as experience using pressure washer or steam jenny units.

You must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as respirators, disposable coveralls with hoods, safety glasses, sol vex gloves and creams for facial skin coverage for extended periods of time as well as be must be knowledgeable of proper ventilations during paint and prime application process and must be knowledgeable of spill prevention measures to be taken if required. You must have experience in the application for primer and finish paint coating to general industry stands to include appearance, coverage, and thickness.

Qualifications

You must be able to work 3rd Shift, 10:00 pm - 6:00 am with shift bonus

You must have a High School Diploma or GED Required. You must have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience required. Lean manufacturing experience and/or training desired for this role. Please be computer literate, must be familiar with computer systems including, but not limited to, MS Office programs as well as business operating systems. You will exhibit excellent leadership, communication, presentation, facilitation and training skills and can work in a team environment across all disciplines. You must demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to act and perform written and verbal instructions with autonomous execution with minimal guidance

IV. Physical Requirements

* The ability to predictably and regularly attend work and to be punctual

* Be able to use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls

* Be able to reach overhead

* Be able to work foot control and fine work with hands and fingers for the entire shift.

* Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time

* Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks

* Be able to lift and/or move 40 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday.
