Job Description

As State Sales Director, and part of The CEO Institute’s Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction in Queensland.  You will oversee the financial performance and day-to-day management of the Queensland operations and will play a pivotal role in leading the growth and expansion of The CEO Institute brand.

Leading from the front you will drive membership procurement and maintenance, provide leadership and direction for the sales and administrative arm of the operation, ensure program delivery is of a consistently high standard, and secure agreed financial targets.

As an influential manager, who thrives when leading and motivating a team, you will develop and implement strategies aiming to promote The CEO Institute's mission and “voice”. You will drive and undertake member recruitment and support member retention and sponsorship efforts.  Key to your success will be your ability to forge and maintain relations of trust with stakeholders, partners and external authorities and you will act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the The CEO Institute operations in Queensland to further strengthen its profile.

Qualifications

Our ideal State Sales Director will possess the following attributes and abilities:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales management capacity in a business-to-business service environment. Success in building a brand is highly advantageous.
  • First class business acumen, sales and marketing awareness gained through being exposed to a range of business issues, and the confidence and maturity to deal effectively with CEO and C-suite executives from diverse industry backgrounds.
  • Ability to develop the highest level of credibility with internal/external staff, Chairmen, Syndicate and Future members as well as prospective members.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships and rapport with a wide cross-section of individuals and groups.
  • High level of energy, commitment, ethics and passion: who can model the professionalism and personal ethics appropriate to the organisation.
  • Ability to work independently and to take a proactive and problem-solving approach to relevant tasks.
  • A high degree of attention to detail and the ability to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours as needed to accommodate client meetings and business events
