Cloud Solutions Architect/SME

The Cloud Solutions Architect will serve as a SME to assist & advise AMRDEC for implementing and overseeing cloud computing strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) and provide guidance to AMRDEC on what Cloud provider or combination of providers will be best suited for the AMRDEC environment.
• Propose cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring.
• Ability to work with Cloud architecture team and help with Cloud migration, Data Security and deployment strategy in cloud environments for AMRDEC.
• Experienced in implementing and overseeing cloud computing strategy, and delivery of cloud solutions.
• Assist with Application Rationalization
• Demonstrated understanding of IT infrastructure tools, processes and practices, including Cloud resource provisions, deployment, microservices, and DevOps is a BIG PLUS
• Ability to work independently within a complex environment to evaluate issues and address any questions from the AMRDEC internal and external shareholders about their questions regarding Cloud Implementation/Migration
• Review security documentation, including ATO/ FedRAMP packages, to understand the responsibilities of the tenant users, and associated risks for the organization

            Required Qualifications

• DoD Secret clearance is required
• Professional Cloud Certifications such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is desired
• The successful candidate will have related multiple years of hands-on experience of supporting Azure, AWS, Google, GovCloud and/or other Cloud implementations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 12+ years of prior relevant experience
• 6+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
• Experienced in cloud deployment, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting
