Job Description

This position requires at least 3 years of recent US Navy submarine combat control end user experience (Fire Control Technician).

This position requires that the candidate be able to obtain a Dept of Defense SECRET security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Harmonia is currently looking for smart and self-motivated  Fire Control Technician - Tester with the ability to take on and overcome challenges in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

This Test position provides an opportunity to develop and advance the cutting-edge technology that supports our nation’s fundamental defense services. Employees work closely with the Navy to develop solutions that allow them to carry out submarine missions. The Tester will work with collaborative teams to deliver end-to-end solutions in mission systems integration, development, and operations support.

This Tester person shall support new submarine weapon control software with activities including analysis, development of test procedures, testing, and special studies. Requirements and test procedures will be managed in the DOORS requirements management tool.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with development and integration teams to promulgate and create test plans/strategies for products
  • Performs manual testing to augment automated testing
  • Analyzes test coverage and generate risk reports as necessary
  • Investigates test failures and determine root-causes
  • Writes clear and concise bug reports, verify bug fixes (validation/verification)
  • Gathers feedback for and implement continuous test improvement
  • Maintains and develops testing policies and processes for test automation
  • Defines test strategies including functional, non-functional, regression, automation, security, and performance testing
  • Works with development teams to improve overall processes and push quality upstream

Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with U.S. Navy submarine combat control system end user operation required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation and a sophisticated understanding of various engineering systems.
