Job Description

  • Performs inspection on electrical parts to determine condition.
  • Read drawings and understand basic electrical wiring
  • Work alongside Electrical Service Techs to gain knowledge to work independently
  • Instil the business need to outperform project budgets and meet on-time deliveries daily
  • Strategize ways to improve the techniques of building panels and continuously work to improve current methods
  • Utilize thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical schematics in daily tasks and projects
  • Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (ex. state laws, federal laws, ISO 9001, etc.), as well as Han-Tek policies and procedures
  • Layout and wire back plates
  • Layout and cut out panel boxes

Physical and Environmental

The Panel Builder is located primarily in a production environment but may experience other conditions while on-site at customers on a regular basis.  Physical requirements include:

  • Moderate lifting (up to 25 pounds)
  • Use of potentially hazardous machinery
  • Use of electrical tools
  • Exposure to loud noise
  • Proper safety equipment must be worn including:
    • Safety glasses
    • Steel-toed boots
  •  Awareness of potential hazards, such as nearby machinery, while in the shop or at a customer location
  • Customer locations may require appropriate safety equipment to be used

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements

  •  High School diploma or equivalent
  •  Demonstrated applicable experience machine building
  •  Experienced with layout and wiring of back plates
  •  Experienced with layout and cut out of panel boxes
  • Experience with routing and wiring of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic components
