Hamilton City Council is on the lookout for its newest Recruitment Specialist to join our team. As a Recruitment Specialist, you'll manage the end-to-end recruitment process, partnering with hiring managers to attract, select and onboard great talent. You'll be a trusted advisor, providing guidance and support throughout the recruitment journey while ensuring candidates receive a positive, professional experience from start to finish.

Your tasks will be varied - you could be working with hiring managers on job approvals and role briefs, creating engaging job advertisements, coordinating offers and onboarding, developing innovative sourcing strategies, building talent pipelines, attending careers expos, or promoting our employer brand in the community. Most importantly, you'll help connect great people with great opportunities. You'll be joining a team of three Recruitment Specialists within our wider HR Delivery team. We're collaborative, supportive, high performing and genuinely enjoy what we do. Qualifications

  • Recruitment experience in either in-house or agency or passion for a career recruitment.
  • An understanding of Local Government and Council
  • Ability to become a subject matter expert in strategic sourcing, data and technology, or process design.
  • An understanding of employment branding and attraction
  • Ability to think differently, act with integrity, work together, and make things happen.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to implementing Council’s attraction and talent management strategies through recruitment and selection processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of establishing and building effective working relationships with people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Agile, adaptable, and collaborative.
  • Self-awareness that mindset is the foundation of performance and an ability to develop self and others in this regard.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and tight deadlines.
  • The desire and drive to become a successful Recruitment Specialist and trusted advisor. 

Additional Information

Circa $85k - $90k dependent on skills and experience.
