Are you highly organised and enjoy keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for someone who can provide essential administrative support to our Parking Activity and City Transportation Unit. Your role will help ensure our business systems and day-to-day operations are managed efficiently, making a real difference to how our city moves.

In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for infringement administration and technical advice. You’ll use your expertise to deliver accurate, timely support while providing professional customer service to both internal teams and the public. Some key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Review all incoming correspondence relation to the infringement process, investigate and make decisions in line with current guidelines and legislation.
  • Pay close attention to detail in all documentation and records.
  • Provide specialist parking advice to customers, whether face to face, letter, email or via telephone. 
  • Process customer requests for payment plans, following the applicable guidelines and time limits.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process and system improvement.  Work with team and relevant parties to develop and execute improvements
  • Review, develop and report on improvement initiatives for all systems and processes relating to area of expertise.
  • Respond and resolve customer queries or complaints (internal and external) professionally and in a timely manner
  • Amend documents when changes to statutory requirements, bylaws and precedent codes occur e.g. including infringement notices, abandoned vehicles etc.
  • Provide administration support to Parking staff including Urban Transport Manager, Parking Team Leader, and Parking BA when required.
  • Maintain and review Parking SOP’s, desk files and quality documents
  • Assist with the effective implementation of the Parking portion of the City Transportation Units Annual Business Plan.

Qualifications

Qualifications and experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in relevant discipline e.g. Administration or relevant on the job experience
  • A minimum 4 years’ experience in an operations environment preferable administration, customer service
  • Advanced level of competency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working in a regulated environment with an investigative mind
  • Local government experience (preferred)
  • Experience in supporting management in a corporate environment
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs and Desk files
  • Knowledge of Parking related legislation (preferred)
  • Current clean drivers licence
