Company Description
Hamilton City and Waikato District Councils have formed a publicly owned, Council-controlled Organisation (CCO) to deliver water services across Hamilton city and Waikato district. The company is called IAWAI - Flowing Waters and will take over the provision of water services from 1 July 2026. This transition will occur in stages such as the current Watercare contract for Waikato District Council transferring to the CCO on 1 July 2026.

This is an opportunity to build strong PMO foundations in a new organisation, where your attention to detail and commitment to reliable information will directly support better delivery outcomes for the community.
Qualifications
Oo puumanawa me oo wheako | Your skills and experience
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Information Management, Project Administration, Data Analysis or equivalent experience.
- Around 3+ years’ experience in portfolio, programme, project or business reporting environments.
- Strong experience working with reporting systems, datasets and spreadsheets, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of project/portfolio reporting fundamentals such as risks, issues, milestones and financials.
- Proven ability to manage cyclical reporting deadlines and maintain disciplined processes.
- Clear communication skills, including confidence to follow up and resolve data gaps with stakeholders.
- systems‑savvy and quick to learn new tools, with confidence working across portfolio reporting platforms and datasets
