This role sits in the Council’s Community Group, which comprises of community focused services such as Hamilton Pool, Parks and Recreation, Hamilton City Libraries and the city’s three main visitor attractions.

He angituutanga: The opportunity 

Waterworld Te Rapa is our flagship aquatics centre and it offers something for everyone. With six pools including toddler and outdoor pools, hydroslides, a full-service gym, land and water-based exercise classes, learn to swim classes and more.

As a Learn to Swim Teacher you will be teaching preschool and school aged children the basics of swimming and water safety. We are looking for people with good communication and relationship building skills. 

We have a number of roles available working 10 hours per week. The shift will include two weekday afternoons from 3:15-6:30pm and one weekend from 7:45-11:30am with Sunday am and Monday pm a priority.

• Austswim trained with teacher of swimming and water safety
