As an Executive Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes—because when the details are perfect, big things happen.

Qualifications

- Extensive experience: Minimum 5–7 years as an Executive Assistant at C-suite or executive management level, ideally within central or local government.
- Exceptional organisational ability: Proactive thinker with strong problem-solving skills, capable of prioritising a varied and demanding workload with minimal supervision.
- Calm under pressure: Skilled at triaging and managing conflicting priorities while maintaining professionalism and composure.
- Advanced administrative expertise: In-depth knowledge of office management procedures, systems, and equipment.
- Technical proficiency: Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at intermediate to advanced level.
- Outstanding communication: Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills across all channels.
- Tech-savvy: Comfortable with meeting tools, virtual platforms, and troubleshooting basic technology issues.
- Discretion and confidentiality: Proven ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of integrity.
- Emotional intelligence: Strong self-awareness, interpersonal skills, and ability to build trusted relationships.
- Change and improvement mindset: Demonstrated experience in implementing process improvements, particularly through technology.
- Leadership capability: Ability to model and articulate organisational vision and values.
- Cultural awareness: Working knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and a basic understanding of Te Reo Māori.
