Job Description

  • Responsible for implementing clinical program priorities, daily operations and professional practice of the Acute Inpatient Rehab Unit, Geriatrics & Hospital Elder Life Program
  • The Patient Care Manager plans, implements and evaluates activities related to the provision of high‑quality patient care services and programs, selects, hires and develops staff, works collaboratively with the team, and maintains fiscal responsibility.
  • The Manager also undertakes clinical, teaching and staff development responsibilities for the unit staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in a Regulated Health Profession
  • Current registration with a Professional College
  • Masters preparation or evidence of substantial completion preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Manager in a similar hospital environment
  • A minimum of 3 years of Acute Rehabilitation experience (Inpatient and/or Outpatient)
  • A minimum of 3 years of Acute Care experience
  • Experience managing an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent human resource management skills including recruitment and retention of staff
  • Excellent budgeting and financial management skills
  • Knowledge of CIHI National Rehab. System (NRS) preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to support team building
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Patient and family centered approach
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

Additional Information

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hour days plus leader on‑call rotation (Hours are subject to change based on operational requirements)

Salary: $66.122 to $82.639 per hour
