Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Events Officer, the Events Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the foundation Events team.  The Coordinator will actively participate in the planning, coordination, and execution of Oakville Hospital Foundation events and provide support to community event organizers.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving skills as they are critical to the role, as is a passion for event planning. They will have a professional manner and the ability to shift task focus.   

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support with the planning, coordination and execution of foundation fundraising events
  • Assist community event organizers with execution of third party fundraising initiatives
  • Provide support with timeline management, logistics and administrative duties, as they apply to each event 
  • Assist with the development of event marketing materials and resources
  • Assist with the integration of sponsors into all event activities
  • Assist with annual operating plans, budgets, and tactics for Foundation’s events program in consultation with the Senior Events Officer.
  • Assist with supplier/vendor relationships, as they apply to the execution of each event
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in an event planning role
  • Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills required
  • Experience working with committees considered an asset
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills
  • Post-secondary education, or comparable combination of skills and experience
  • Experience in Raisers’ Edge (RE) fundraising software, Canva Design, and AI technology considered an asset
  • Excellent computer literacy including Internet & Microsoft Office
  • Results oriented
  • Ability to work both remotely and on site
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence

The Oakville Hospital Foundation offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Non-traditional hours, including evening and/or weekend commitments are sometimes required.

Salary:  $26.414 to $33.018 per hour
