Job Description
Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to patients and their families in Medical Day Care and Outpatient Department. The Medical Day care unit and Outpatient clinics provide treatments, minor procedures, and patient education in an ambulatory care setting.Registered Nurse to provide care and treatments to patients in busy Medical Day Care Unit. Must be able to work independently and interdependently with other members of the healthcare team. Must be able to perform added nursing skills particularly but not entirely related to haematology/oncology patients.
Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current BCLS certification required at time of hire
- Experience in advanced arrhythmia interpretation required.
- Experience with intravenous and central line access required.
- Experience in ambulatory care nursing, OR nursing, PACU nursing and or Emergency nursing is an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and flexibility
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment
- Problem solving abilities and critical thinking skills
- Diplomacy and public relations skills required
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and a strong knowledge of policy and practice standards
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record
Additional Information
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8 hour day shifts (Hours subject to change based on operational requirements)
Salary: $39.07 to $56.00 per hour
