We’re passionate about our role in delivering the finest of Kiwi food, and it’s our people in depots and out on the road every day who work vigilantly to ensure the safety and freshness of the product we store or deliver. Our people drive our business, literally!

Whilst you won’t be on the road, your energy and focus will be on planning and dispatching a fleet of container trucks around Auckland and the greater Waikato region to and from customer sites and or Ports, ensuring that they are delivered or picked up within the agreed timeframes, ensuring all truck routes/loading points are optimised at all times – where possible keeping everyone ahead of schedule.

What would you be doing?  

• Plan the freight for movement throughout New Zealand (coastal, road, rail).
• Allocate work to designated base run plans to match capacity available (drivers, trucks etc) ensuring customer commitments are met.
• Assign freight to designated base plans for scheduled delivery services.
• Work closely with Transport Managers and Dispatchers to ensure plans are fit for purpose and are executed
• Manage planning across high volume seasons and peak planning forecasts
• Arrange for the servicing of the fleet ensuring it is maintained and repaired in accordance with company fleet servicing policies and procedures.

What you'll need to be brilliant:  

• A minimum of 3+ years' experience in transport dispatch
• Experience in shipping and logistics highly desired
• Knowledge of transport management systems. Experience with Truck Mate will be a huge advantage
• Added knowledge around specialized equipment such as combi-lift and swing-lifts would be an added bonus. 
• Strong planning, organising, record-maintaining and time management skills
• Sound geographical knowledge of Auckland and the greater Waikato regions
