Manawatu Inland Port, located in Longburn Palmerston North, has been set up to handle general freight imports and exports to assist and alleviate any main port delays.

As a subsidiary of the Hall's Group, the site is a customs approved, MPI transitional facility, and is ideally placed both with its location to service the central North Island importers and exporters, and linking Napier, Tauranga and Wellington as entry points.

Store Person - Equipment Operator

What will you be doing?

We're looking for a hardworking and organised skilled Store Person/Equipment Operator who can:

  • Load and unload full or empty containers using an Omega Reach stacker (training provided)
  • Load and unload cargo/pallets from transport units.
  • Container MPI inspections (training provided)
  • Cleaning, container washing, light repairs and house keeping
  • Assemble/Fitting of wheels and machinery parts
  • High level of fitness & excellent work ethic
  • Good communication skills
  • Warehouse and Yard management
  • Inventory Management

Qualifications

What you'll need to be brilliant:

  • Health and Safety is your number 1 priority
  • F endorsed or training to achieve up to 5 tonne.
  • Omega 45 tonne top lift training and certification (desirable- training provided)
  • Be computer literate
  • Have a Full Drivers License
  • Be someone who picks things up quickly and follows process
  • Possess excellent time management skills

You'll have an organized approach, a problem solving mindset, and enjoy being an active participant in the team. You'll need to be able to handle a robust environment and you'll be happy to jump in and help out.
