Job Description

Hagie Manufacturing is seeking a qualified candidate to be part of our Weld Team in Clarion, IA.  This position primarily consists of MIG welding using .035, .045, and .052 wire on various thicknesses of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum to meet weld standards.  

Requirements: 

Perform weld operations in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork. Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following: 

  • Weld parts and sub-assemblies to specification using various welding processes. 
  • Adjust voltage, heat, pressure, and speed to maintain quality. 
  • Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures. 
  • Utilize manufacturing tools to record data and keep records for quality and maintenance. 
  • Check results for conformance to specifications and make necessary corrections. 
  • Use various types of tools and equipment to perform work - including but not limited to CNC / robotic welding equipment, safety equipment, manual arc welders, grinders, hoists, fixtures, and applicable hand and power tools. 
  • Lubricate, check, and clean work equipment and tooling. 
  • Assist and support other team members. 
  • Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job. 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older. 

Must have at least one of the following: 

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. 
  • National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) 
  • At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience 

Must have a weld certification (or equivalent) or at least 6 months experience welding in a manufacturing environment. 

Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 35 lbs), and performing of repetitive actions. 

Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends).
