Job Description

Hagie Manufacturing is seeking a qualified candidate to be part of our Product Verification and Validation Team as a Test Engineer in Clarion, IA. As a member of our product verification & validation team, you will work to test components and/or complex systems on existing and new products. You will work with other members of the engineering staff in a team environment to ensure that product development goals are met. This position will develops recommendations within established guidelines; work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation. This position reports to the Test Engineer Supervisor.

 Essential Functions:

  • Applies existing applications to routine problems.
  • Analyzes assignments and determines engineering specifications which must be fulfilled for routine problems or projects.
  • Learns and applies company engineering policies and practices; learns company products.
  • Develop validation plan for systems and components to meet performance and reliability targets
  • Execute test plans and record relevant data
  • Develop new testing capabilities and systems to meet validation plans
  • Specify components, tools, sensors, systems, etc. needed for tests
  • Analyze test results, providing actionable feedback to engineering group
  •  Document compliance data according to ISO and ASABE standards

Qualifications

  • Skill in using company information systems and processes. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.
  • Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
  • Previous experience in a product validation or related position 1-3 years
  • Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases. - 1 - 3 years
  • Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Development Process (EPDP) - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.
  • Understanding of engineering principles as they relate to the company product - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
  • Experience with CREO is preferred, HBM Somat eDAQ, and HBM nCode Glyphworks is a plus
  • Fundamental understanding of machine forms relevant to the specific job assignment and Company division/unit. Knowledge/familiarity with machines manufactured by competitors. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.
  • Experience with vehicle electrical testing (1-3 years)

Education:

  • Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent) 
  • Degree in a Science discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent) 
  • Degree in an Agricultural Sciences discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
