Job Description

Hagie Manufacturing is seeking a qualified candidate to be part of our Material Flow, Production Planning and Control Team in Clarion, IA.  As a member of our team, you will drive material requirements and for Production, Customer and Product Support demand.  The Manufacturing Planner will work closely with multiple functional areas to develop and create long-term strategic planning to ensure the adequate capacity.

  • Ensures production planning system accurately reflects production requirements
  • Resolves planning messages related to scrap, inventory, or short lead-time orders accurately and efficiently
  • Supports Service Parts demand requirements appropriately for Dealer Flash, Dealer Orders, and PDC forecasted requirements
  • Improves release processes and essential day to day processes to create efficiency within position.
  • Orders released reflects requirements with production planning system.
  • Completes work tasks accurately based on standard calendar cadence.
  • Audits open and aged orders and facilities reconciliation and order closure
  • Works within Material Flow, Production Planning and Control to support material replenishment, improved efficiency, inventory accuracy, and material availability.
  • Participates in department and cross-functional process improvement teams
  • Supports the development of a rough-cut capacity plan for the factory
  • Supports the development of an 18-month production and material plan for the factory
  • Supports the development of a critical work center capacity plan
  • Ability to support critical inventory analyst job duties when required.
  • Supports fabrication programming when necessary
  • Knowledge and understanding of material coordinator job duties to support when required.

    
 

Qualifications

  • Understanding of manufacturing databases and inputs. – Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others.
  •  Knowledge of manufacturing processes and factory operations. – Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
  • Understanding of bills of material. Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others
  •  Working knowledge of the appropriate operating and information systems.  Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others.
  • Manufacturing and/or operations experience. 1-3 years
  • Experience working in one more support functions such as warehousing, logistics, etc. 1-3 years
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling. Less than 1 year.
  • Experience with Production Control systems. 1 -3 years.
  • Degree in Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience – University Degree (4 years or equivalent).
  • Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience – University Degree (4 years or equivalent).
  • Degree in Supply Management discipline or equivalent experience – University Degree (4 years or equivalent).
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance discipline or equivalent experience – University Degree (4 years or equivalent).
