COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken and written word required.  Those activities in which the individual must convey detailed or important spoken or written instructions and information to students, their families, staff, management personnel and public safety officials, accurately, loudly, or quickly.  Must be able to communicate effectively.   The ability to speak clearly and concisely, and to convey information or articulate an opinion is essential for this position. Must be comfortable speaking / presenting to an individual or to groups. The ability to convey your message in writing using proper grammar is a basic requisite for this position.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Skill in mathematics at an advanced level with application to accounting spreadsheets and databases.  Knowledge of arithmetic and statistics, and their applications, and ability to perform these mathematical operations.

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to tolerate interruptions and still be able to prioritize and focus to meet standards of quality in accuracy, attention to detail and time constraints. Ability to learn policies and procedures and apply them to various circumstances including the ability to interpret needs and respond in standardized situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Business with extensive relevant experience may be considered.

WORK EXPERIENCE

At least six years of finance/accounting experience and four years of supervisory experience is required. 

CPA Preferred
