Job responsibilities
· Will be the single point of contact as a solution architect for the network services portfolio
· Demonstrable experience in writing and leading successful proposal response efforts and client presentation development across: Telecom services, Network solutions and Network Integration proposals.
· Should have deep understanding of customer needs and will design appropriate solutions
· Experience in developing value based customer proposal
· Will work and communicate with Sales, business development, delivery and Engineering team to understand and meet client requirements
· Ability to compose compelling, persuasive technical solutions and commercial models that are passionate about addressing customer business/Technical problems
· Understanding client business process operations and business objectives; utilize knowledge on engagements/ analyzing workflow to design solutions (As-Is and To-Be Analysis and Freezing).
· Understanding business environment of the clients and positioning solution sales pitch and articulating business value presentations to clients for securing profitable business.
· Be independently able to lead RFP cycle
· Ability to communicate effectively and work with our multiple teams to realize the technical solution
· Ability to lead, respond and resolve all network related technical proposal validations
· Should be able to design Delivery models, Target Operating model, Service and Commercial models.
· Driving and supporting the services revenues and managing the pre-sales activities in a region(s).
· Collaborate with Business Unit heads and Regional Sales teams on proposal developments, opportunity qualification and RFI/RFP pre-sales deliverables and work with commercial teams for overall proposal preparation.
· Client business requirements gathering and analysis, solution architecting, designing, deployment architecture, negotiation with OEMs/Vendors, technical compliance and Vendor Interlocks.
· Understanding nuances of OEM/Vendor platforms and solutions – hardware, software, licensing and ability to decide on a specific OEM/Vendor based on technical requirements and work with OEM/Vendors in finalizing solution components, prepare BoQ/BoM along with OEM/Vendor
Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech/MBA with 10-14 years of working as a solution architect for a Network services company, with emphasis on Infrastructure services and deep knowledge in WAN and Datacentre networking.
- Experience in delivering network projects specifically in the area of WAN, DC/Cloud , Infrastructure security, and preferred experience in new deployment models and architectures such as SDN, Virtualization security etc.
Certifications
- Applicant should have professional certifications (or equivalent) – CCIE, CCNP
- Certifications from leading vendors like Cisco, Checkpoint, MacAfee, Palo Alto, Symantec, F5 etc would be preferred
- TOGAF or ZACHMAN or SABSA Enterprise Architecture certification would be preferred.
Skills
· Good understanding of OSI layer, TCP/IP stack, TCP, UDP operation
· Good knowledge of multi-vendor network products - Switches, Routers, Firewalls & Load balancers
· Understanding and Working knowledge on Switching technologies – Spanning Tree protocol, Port-channelling and enterprise LAN network – 802.1X, VLAN, AD/LDAP, DNS, DHCP
· Understanding and Working knowledge on Layer 3 following technologies – IPv4, IPv6, ARP, Routing protocols - EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, Multicast & MPLS, AAA
· Understanding and working knowledge on Layer 1 technologies – DWDM, OTN, TDM/SDH/Sonet and services - fiber channel, Ethernet over SDH/OTN, TDM circuits
· Understanding and working knowledge on Wireless technologies – 802.11a/b/g/n/ac technology, BYOD
· Experience in WLAN architecture and working principle of WLAN component – WLC, AP, IDS and IPS, BYOD, Posture check mechanism, authentication and encryption mechanism - WPA, WPA-2, AES and TKIP
· Understanding of Carrier Ethernet network services – EPL, EVPL, ELAN
· Working knowledge in MPLS technologies – Layer 2 technologies & Layer 3 MPLS VPN
· Working knowledge in security technologies – IPSEC VPN, SSL VPN, DDoS, Firewall.
· Working knowledge in WAN optimisation and Link load balancing technologies.
· Working knowledge in customer last mile connectivity on Layer1, Layer2 & Layer3 on Wireless & Fiber media
· Knowledge of virtualization technologies Hypervisor – ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM & Virtual switches
· Working Knowledge of cloud technologies and solutions including public, private and hybrid cloud. Specific public cloud knowledge includes
o AWS concepts - VPC, Direct connect, Elastic storage S3, Amazon compute services EC2
o Azure Concepts – ExpressRoute, Azure Office 365, Familiarity of Azure compute services
· Good understanding on Datacenter Network & WAN Transformation
· Good knowledge in desiging Campus networks, WAN and MAN networks.
· Experience in designing and building large scale Campus Wi-fi networks.
· Working Knowledge in SD-WAN, NFV, overlay technologies – VXLAN, NVGRE
· Knowledge in NMS tools – Solarwinds, HP Open View, NagiOS
· Good understanding of applications – HTTP, SSL/TLS, FTP and network relation with applications
· Good understanding of business applications used in enterprise networks and network relevance to effective operation of business apps – ERP, CRM, e-mail, VC, real-timeusines
· Good understanding of various enterprise market segments need of IT – SMB, large enterprise, government sectors and industry verticals – manufacturing, healthcare, bio-tech and pharmaceuticals, media, education, energy, BFSI, retail
· Working knowledge on system/network integration (SI/NI) capabilities
· Strong oral, written, communication, documentation and presentation skills
· Should have a strong business acumen to understand complex business requirements of different enterprise client
· Understanding on SLA metrics such as availability & performance measures like latency, packet loss, jitter to help baseline solutions
· Familiarity with at least two vendor Routing/switching platforms – Cisco, HP, Juniper and at least two Wireless platforms – Aruba, Fortinet, Cisco
