Job Description

Oversee the purchase of feed product raw materials, enzymes and concentrates.

• Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.

• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.

• Review orders to determine product types and quantities required to meet demand. • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases

• Identify, research and evaluate prospective vendors/suppliers.

• Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options

• Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts and ensure that the products and supplies are high quality.

• Coordinate the transportation of purchased raw materials.

• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data

• Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.

• Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers

 • Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends.

• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.

Qualifications

Degree/HND in Accounting, Business Management, Logistics, supply chain management, or relevant field.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the procurement/related roles in animal feed industry is a must.

• Relevant Certifications are added advantages

• Understanding of supply chain procedures
