Job Description
As a Field Service Diesel Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring heavy machinery and diesel-powered equipment run at peak performance. You’ll be our trusted on-site expert, traveling to clients’ locations, diagnosing issues, and delivering efficient, high-quality repairs.
What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose and Repair: Work on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems with precision and expertise.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct inspections and services to keep equipment in top shape.
- Field Support: Travel to client sites, assess issues, and provide timely, professional solutions to minimize downtime.
- Safety First: Follow safety protocols and ensure your tools and service vehicle are always ready for the next job.
- Customer Relations: Build lasting relationships by explaining repairs, providing recommendations, and delivering exceptional service.
Qualifications
What You Bring:
- Qualifications: A trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on diesel engine repair and maintenance, ideally in a field service role.
- Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems using diagnostic tools and software.
- License: A valid Class 1 driver’s license (Class 2 WTRF is a bonus!).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to handle physical tasks in various environments and weather conditions.
