Job Description
As the Country Manager, you will lead and coordinate various aspects of Octane’s business operations across the Australia region. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for driving business growth, managing the Australian team, and ensuring effective account management and project delivery.
As a key member of the Octane Leadership Team, you will develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and expansion in the Australian market, aligned with Octane’s overarching business strategy. Leading the execution of these strategies, you will also provide input into Octane’s Product Roadmap.
Effective management of the Australian Octane team will be crucial, fostering teamwork and alignment with cross-functional teams in New Zealand and Canada. You will oversee high-level project delivery and ensure effective account management across the Australian client base.
Facilitating the Octane sales process will be a key aspect of your role. This includes engaging in pre-sales meetings, delivering high-level product demonstrations, presenting to prospective and current customers, and preparing customer proposals.
Qualifications
As a key leader of the business, you will need the following to be successful in the role:
- Experience in the Fuel Distribution industry
- Strong Line Management and Leadership experience
- Strong Account Management experience
- Strong Project Management Experience – ideally managing / overseeing ERP Implementations or technology projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to quickly understand customer issues and provide fast and efficient issue escalation and timely feedback in a professional manner
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to translate technical jargon into non-technical responses
