Job Description

Due to sustained growth, the Zero Fire Group comprising of five entities and 65 people, is seeking a person experienced in accounts to undertake all financial activity for the group.  In this role you will be the heart of Zero Fire’s finance team based near the airport in Hamilton.  You will manage a variety of accounting processes including budget and cashflow management; consolidated business reporting; preparation of IRD compliance, including GST, FBT, Income Tax, PAYE, and statutory accounts; fortnightly payroll processing; and accounts payable and receivable.  Liaising closely with external accountants, you will provide necessary information and resolve any issues.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll have the opportunity to work on continuous improvement projects as well as business-as-usual work. Delivering business reporting and providing expert financial advice across the Zero Fire Group will also be a key part of the role.

Qualifications

To be successful is this role, you will:

  • Have at least five years’ experience in a similar role and a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Have sound payroll experience and wage legislation understanding.
  • Have a background and experience with monthly and year end reporting.
  • Enjoy developing strong relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • Be a confident writer with excellent communication skills.
  • Have experience in intercompany reporting
