Job Description

Due to customer growth and continual investment in leading edge technology, our client Octane Systems is looking for an Intermediate-level Infrastructure Support Engineer to help grow their support team. Octane Systems offer the opportunity to work with enterprise level infrastructure across a broad range of technical areas supporting a diverse portfolio of global customers, all from an office location across the road from the picturesque South Wharf Marina in Melbourne.

Qualifications

To apply for this role, applicants ideally must be able to demonstrate three to five years’ experience with the majority of the following:

  • Technical / helpdesk support
  • IT systems administration
  • Network configuration and troubleshooting
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services environments
  • Microsoft Exchange & Active Directory services
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with a wide range of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems and products
  • Microsoft 365 / Azure experience
  • HP hardware build and configuration
  • VMware virtualisation technologies
  • Veeam Backup & Replication
  • Fortinet FortiGate Network Security
  • Extreme Networking technology solutions
  • ITIL-based support processes
  • Prior experience working in a MSP environment would be highly advantageous
