We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Specialist with a focus on energy solutions to join our fast-growing business. In this role, you will play a key part in transforming energy solutions within the agricultural industry by engaging with farmers, understanding their energy needs, and providing tailored solutions across the Waikato District. What you are selling has no upfront cost, helps farmers with emissions and saves them money.

Job Description

This role requires an experienced and driven sales professional to engage with farmers to understand their energy needs and provide tailored solutions. Establishing strong client relationships, you will be out in farming community promoting energy efficiency within the sector.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy for energy solutions within the dairy industry.
  • Identify and qualify potential farming clients interested in optimising their energy profile.
  • Engage with dairy farm owners, managers, and key stakeholders to understand their specific energy requirements, and conduct on-site assessments to analyse current energy consumption.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and propose customised energy solutions based on the unique needs of each dairy farm.
  • Present and articulate the benefits of energy-efficient technologies, including solar power, to potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dairy farm clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Tertiary education in agri-business, or a proven sales track record in a related field.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the agricultural or energy industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • The resilience and confidence to establish a new client relationships and a willingness to be out in the farming community.
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

You will need to provide your own vehicle, however, an allowance will be provided.
