Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will lead and drive the People Relations agenda across the market, ensuring compliance, supporting business goals, and creating an outstanding colleague experience. You will act as a strategic partner to leaders while providing expertise in labour relations, employee relations, health and safety, policy implementation, and organisational change.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing the Market People Relations strategy aligned with the H&M Group Colleague Strategy.
  • Coaching and supporting leaders on strategic and operational people matters.
  • Managing labour law, industrial relations, union and works council relationships, and collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Ensuring compliance with local legislation, policies, and internal governance processes.
  • Leading and developing the local People Relations team.
  • Driving health, safety, wellbeing, and work environment initiatives together with relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting business transformation and strategic initiatives with People Relations expertise.
  • Analysing people data and market trends to identify risks, opportunities, and solutions that support business success.
  • Collaborating with Global People Relations teams to implement and adapt policies, frameworks, and guidelines locally.

 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will be part of the People function and work closely with Market Management Teams, People Business Partners, Legal teams, Security teams, Global People Relations, employee representatives, unions, and leaders across the organisation.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for people with...

  • Qualified lawyer with expertise and professional qualifications in Labour Law, Industrial Relations, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience leading and developing teams and extensive experience within People Relations, Employee Relations, Labour Relations, or Human Resources.
  • Solid experience working with works councils and trade unions.
  • Experience resolving complex employee relations matters.
  • Experience working in an international and matrix organisation.
  • Proven ability to coach and influence leaders on both strategic and operational people matters.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience driving people-related strategies, organisational change, and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and insights to support decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Professional proficiency in English. Spanish is required; additional languages are considered an advantage.
