Job Description
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Concept Creative, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future retail experience at H&M. Working with customer insights, brand direction and business needs, you’ll transform ideas into inspiring, functional and scalable store concepts that bring our physical environments to life. You’ll create and develop concepts for stores around the world, balancing creativity, customer experience and commercial impact.
From early ideation and visual storytelling to presentations, renderings and design proposals, you’ll bring concepts to life and help define how customers experience our brand in physical spaces. You’ll collaborate across multiple functions, navigating complex challenges and turning creative opportunities into actionable concepts that can be developed and realized at scale.
This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity, design, strategy and collaboration. Someone who can move comfortably between the big picture and the details, while keeping the customer experience at the center of every decision.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join the Retail Creative Development team and report to the Concept Development Manager. Together with Concept Creatives, Project Managers, Retail Architects, Engineers and other key stakeholders across H&M, you’ll help shape the future of our physical customer experience.
You’ll be part of a highly collaborative and creative environment where curiosity, innovation and new ideas are encouraged. This role requires close partnership with teams across the organization, making stakeholder management and relationship-building key to your success.
WHO YOU ARE
You’re a highly creative and self-driven architect/ interior designer with a passion for shaping experiences through physical environments. You combine strong conceptual thinking with excellent visual communication skills and know how to translate ideas into compelling concepts that inspire others.
You enjoy working in dynamic environments where priorities can shift and projects can vary in pace and complexity. You're comfortable creating clarity from ambiguity, managing multiple stakeholders and driving your work forward independently.
You have a strong sense of design, materiality and customer experience, and you're excited by the opportunity to influence how millions of customers experience H&M stores around the world. Most importantly, you're curious, open-minded and energized by solving creative challenges together with others.
We are looking for people with:
- Experience within retail design, interior architecture, spatial design, concept development or a related creative field, ideally within retail or customer‑focused environments.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Experience creating presentations, visual concepts, layouts, sketches and renderings that communicate design intent effectively.
- Strong ability to produce high‑quality renderings, 3D models, and visual communication assets.
- Experience in tools such as Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape or similar.
- The ability to translate business needs, customer insights and briefs into engaging customer experiences.
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and navigating a complex organizational environment.
- Strong self-leadership, prioritization and stakeholder management skills.
- A passion for creativity, innovation and continuous learning.
- Curiosity and openness towards AI-powered tools and new ways of working within the creative process.
