The Global Communications department at H&M Group works with integrated communications to reach our different target groups with our story. Our role is to build, strengthen, and protect our company and brands through communication, always with the customer first in mind. We work with integrated communications to share our story with different target groups, from exciting collaborations and fashion collections to our leadership in tech and sustainability, financial communications, and employer branding. This is done through media and influencer relations, events, corporate and internal communications, and social media. 

The Communications organization consists of approximately 40 professionals across four teams. Media Relations, Strategy & Insight, Content & Creative, and Project Management. 

We are now looking for an inspiring leader to lead and develop the Project Management team in the role of Head of Project Management. In this role, you are responsible for leading a group of experienced project managers, ensuring strong execution and high-quality delivery across all communication initiatives. 

Together with your team, you translate communication strategies into effective and impactful project delivery. You play a key role in making sure that priorities are executed in a structured, efficient, integrated, and collaborative way across teams and stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

• Lead and develop a team of 8 project managers, ensuring successful delivery of strategically prioritized projects that support the H&M Group Communications strategy. 

• Collaborate closely with the Strategy& Insight team to drive effective project prioritization, planning and resource allocation. 

• Establish and continuously improve project management frameworks, ways of working and governance to enable efficient and high-quality project delivery. 

• Oversee project execution across the portfolio, ensuring alignment, effective collaboration, resource optimization, and management of interdependencies. 

• Contribute as an active member of the H&M Group Communications Management Team. 

• Support and coach project managers in leading projects, managing stakeholders, and working effectively with external partners. 

• Develop the team's project management skills and ways of working, ensuring high-quality delivery and effective use of communications tools and methods. 

• Lead resource planning and allocation to ensure the right resources are focused on the highest-priority projects.

Experience and background 

• Experienced communications leader with the ability to drive execution through hands-on leadership and collaboration across teams and functions.  

• Proven track record of planning and delivering integrated communication and marketing initiatives with full end-to-end responsibility towards internal and corporate target groups. 

• Strong ability and understanding of how to turn strategic priorities into high-quality execution and tangible business results.  

• Excellent leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading and developing senior teams.  

• Broad understanding of communications, media, technology, and industry trends, combined with a hands-on and adaptable approach.  

• The ability to lead, inspire and develop a team of senior project managers to achieve the company's stated goals with clear vision, priorities and support for executional excellence.  

• A willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly. 

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Swedish is an advantage. 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:  

You lead a team of eight project managers and work closely with senior stakeholders across H&M. In collaboration with colleagues across the four teams, you ensure that plans are translated into clear actions and successfully delivered end-to-end. 

You report to Communication Director, Hendrik Alpen.
