Job Description

As Head of Global Merchandising, you will shape how our assortment comes to life across stores, online and marketplaces – driving selling, profitability and a seamless customer experience.

This is a key leadership role for someone who combines strong commercial drive with a deep understanding of product, inventory and people, and who enjoys working cross‑functionally in a collaborative culture.

You will be part of the senior leadership team at ARKET, reporting into the Head of Global Sales and CX. You will have 10 direct reports based in Stockholm and functional responsibility for the merchandising function in APAC.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the ARKET global merchandising strategy across stores, online and marketplaces
  • Drive selling, profitability and stock efficiency through customer‑ and data‑driven decisions
  • Own end‑to‑end merchandising, from assortment input and activation to stock optimization
  • Set and execute activity and allocation strategies together with Buying, Supply Chain and Retail/Online
  • Ensure strong stock‑to‑sales performance, speed and turnover across channels
  • Lead, coach and develop the omni merchandising team to grow performance and capability

Who You’ll Work With

You will collaborate closely with Buying, Assortment, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Retail Operations, E‑commerce, CX and Controlling.

This role acts as a connector across the organization, bringing together product, customer and commercial perspectives. You will lead a team of 10 merchandisers working end‑to‑end across channels, formats and markets, in a culture characterized by trust, respect and strong collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Experience in merchandising within fashion retail, preferably in an omni or multi‑channel environment
  • Previous leadership experience, with responsibility for developing and leading teams
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, including inventory management, forecasting and stock optimization
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with Buying, Supply Chain and Retail / Online
  • Confidence working with merchandising tools and systems in a complex retail setup
  • Fluent English, written and spoken

This is a full time temporary 12-month contract based at our Head Office in Stockholm
