WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating end‑to‑end payroll operations across all Brands in the H&M Group within Sales Market Denmark, Norway and Iceland. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery throughout the full payroll lifecycle, in line with local labour laws, tax and social security regulations, as well as the company’s internal payroll policies and standards. You will combine strong payroll expertise with people leadership, enabling your team to perform at a high level while continuously improving payroll processes in a multi‑country environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the Sales Market, consisting of Denmark, Norway and Iceland. You will manage and lead the Payroll team consisting of 9 Payroll Officers.

You will:

  • Actively support payroll operations across all countries in scope, partnering with the payroll team and external providers to resolve payroll-related matters and ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high performing payroll team, ensuring clear direction, role clarity, and capability growth across all markets.
  • Set priorities, enable cross functional collaboration, and support teams in problem solving, knowledge sharing, and delivering customer centric payroll services.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will collaborate closely with payroll specialists, external payroll providers, accounting teams, store management, and Sales Market functions. Together, you will ensure seamless payroll operations and high‑quality service delivery across all countries in scope. 

WHO YOU ARE​
We are looking for people with…

  • Strong knowledge of Danish and Norwegian payroll regulations; knowledge of Icelandic payroll regulations is considered an advantage
  • Hands-on payroll experience with the ability to actively support payroll operations and resolve complex payroll-related matters.
  • 3+ years of experience managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Fluent in in a Scandinavian language and English, both written and spoken
