WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Software Engineer Full Stack Developer, you'll play a key role in shaping H&M's digital customer experience by building and evolving customer onboarding journeys, including Sign In, Sign Up, account management, and other identity-related experiences. Working as part of a cross-functional product team, you'll design, develop, and deliver scalable, high-performing solutions that support the diverse needs of H&M markets worldwide. You'll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and architects to create secure, reliable, and user-friendly experiences that serve millions of customers every day. Your work will have a direct impact on how customers interact with H&M, helping to deliver seamless and personalized experiences across our global digital platforms. 

In addition to the above, your role will involve:   

  • Develop and maintain modern web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, responsive, and accessible user interfaces
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless user experiences
  • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance bottlenecks, and production issues
  • Ensure applications meet accessibility, security, and performance standards
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and frontend deployment processes
  • Work within Agile teams, participating in sprint planning, refinements, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
  • Continuously improve development processes, tooling, and engineering standards


WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for people with…

  • 4–6 years of experience in full-stack software development
  • Strong expertise in React and Next.js for building modern, responsive web applications
  • Solid experience developing backend services using Spring Boot, with a good understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
  • A passion for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code while following engineering best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional, agile teams

Digital Transactions provides end-to-end transactional journey ownership, starting from conversion of shopping Cart into sales order and ensuring order is forwarded to fulfilment and accounting.

You'll be part of the Identifications Team, responsible for building and maintaining H&M's customer identity platform. The team owns the end-to-end customer onboarding journeys, including Sign In, Sign Up, account management, authentication, and authorization services. As a core platform team, we provide secure, scalable, and reliable identity services that power H&M's digital ecosystem. We work closely with product teams across markets to enable seamless customer experiences while ensuring the highest standards of security, performance, and reliability.
