Data Analyst

  • Contract

Job Description

Step into a role where your insights directly shape how thousands of customers experience stories.com. We’re looking for an experienced Data Analyst with a strong background in customer data who can turn user behavior into smart decisions, sharper product development, and meaningful business impact. If you thrive in a handson environment where experimentation, customer insights, and real influence go hand in hand, this is your opportunity to make a mark.

Your Responsibilities:

What you will do:

  • Analyze customer behavior and site performance to identify friction points and opportunities.
  • Follow-up on new feature and design performance
  • Work with Tracking and Data Quality - maintain and improve existing tracking and implement new tracking points if needed
  • Lead and evaluate A/B tests — from defining hypotheses to presenting clear insights and recommendations.
  • Translate data into actionable guidance for product managers, engineers, and e- commerce leaders.
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews of key KPIs
  • Build dashboards and visualizations that support strategic prioritization and decision making.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure data is used effectively in development work.
  • Support a more data driven culture at Stories.com by sharing learnings, simplifying complexity, and elevating the use of insights across teams.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will be part of a crossfunctional product team of around 10–12 colleagues, including a product manager, business analyst, engineers and a project lead, working closely together to develop and improve the stories.com experience. You will also collaborate with the broader ecommerce organisation, such as the ecommerce lead and controller.

Qualifications

We are looking for people with…

  • Several years of experience working with customer data — from B2B or B2C environments — with strong ability to interpret user behavior, funnel metrics, and digital performance insights.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with BigQuery.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI or similar visualization tools.
  • Experience with digital analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Looker studio and ContentSquare)
  • Solid understanding of experimentation and A/B testing.
  • Ability to work with structured data and established pipelines.
  • Strong commercial understanding of e‑commerce metrics and customer behavior.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt insights to different audiences.
  • Fluency in English.

And people who are…

  • Impact driven – you focus on insights that change product direction and business outcomes.
  • Curious problem solvers – you dig into customer behaviour and ask the questions others don’t think of.
  • Clear storytellers – you turn complex data into simple, compelling narratives that influence decisions.
  • Collaborative partners – you enjoy working closely with product, engineering and business teams.
  • Pragmatic & self driven – you take ownership, move fast, and find smart solutions without overcomplicating.
