Job Description
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) leads both strategic and day-to-day HR operations, aligning people practices with business goals. Key areas include general HR management, employee relations, compliance with labor and safety laws, and collaboration with outsourced partners for industrial health & safety.
The HRBP also plays a key role in driving leadership and culture initiatives across the organization, ensuring alignment with H&M Group values and local business needs.
What you will do:
1. HR Operations & Strategic Partnering
- Align HR strategies with business objectives through active partnership with leadership
- Collaborate with Global HR and implement key initiatives across offices and stores
- Drive leadership initiatives across the organization in line with the H&M group, as well as local initiatives based on business needs
- Partner closely with managers and teams to strengthen company culture and employee engagement, reinforcing a value-driven and inclusive work environment
- Manage recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring high-quality execution
- Oversee HR administration: employee data, payroll, and etc
- Support talent management, succession planning, and yearly HR cycles (e.g., goal setting, surveys)
- Guide managers on workplace health, environment, and labor law compliance
- Promote company values and act as a culture ambassador
2. Employee Relations (ER)
- Address employee concerns and resolve workplace conflicts, including harassment cases
- Manage internal communication and lead initiatives for cultural improvement
- Oversee whistleblower programs and coordinate with external agencies as needed
3. Compliance & Industrial Safety (with external partners)
Labor & Compliance Oversight
- Monitor compliance with labor laws (Labor Standards Act, Fair Hiring, Anti-Harassment, etc.)
- Develop and update HR policies, internal regulations, and compliance checklists
- Plan and conduct ethics, labor law, and compliance training for employees
- Track and report quarterly compliance reviews and address identified risks
Industrial Safety & Outsourced Partner Management
- Select and manage contracts with outsourced industrial safety agencies
- Coordinate regular safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance inspections with partners
- Ensure all safety-related training and certifications are completed on time
- Respond to safety incidents in collaboration with external partners and manage follow-up actions
- Prepare documentation and support government inspections (e.g., Ministry of Employment and Labor)

What you need to succeed
- 3 years of HR or labor management experience
- Strong documentation, planning, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of labor and health & safety-related regulations
- Experience in grievance handling and collaborating with third-party agencies
- Fluency in English to work closely with Global Team
Good to Have:
- Certified labor attorney or health & safety-related certification holder
- Experience in mid-to-large enterprises or HR compliance-heavy environments
- Background in managing audits, labor inspections, or cultural initiatives

In this role you will have some flexibility to work remotely however due to the high level of cross department collaborations much of your time will be spent in our amazing office in Korea.
