Job Description
We are looking for a Solution Architect to shape the future of H&M’s global store portfolio by designing modern, scalable solutions for managing our Store Portfolio and Non-Commercial Goods (NCG) perspective of our Stores.
As a Solution Architect within the Engage Customer & Sell area, you will translate business needs into scalable architectural designs to support our stores. You will shape the solution landscape for Store Portfolio, Store Development, and Network Management, covering both in-house solutions and third-party systems.
This is a unique opportunity to join team of Solution Architects working on cutting edge retail solutions within our company within several different areas from product creation, through logistics, to sales in store or online.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Contextualize strategic vision and direction for NCG and store portfolio related capabilities; identify opportunities, constraints, and architectural impact throughout the solution life cycle.
- Translate business needs into end-to-end architectural blueprints, covering store portfolio management, NCG supply chain flows, procurement processes, and integrations with SAP.
- Conduct holistic analysis of existing solutions, identify As-Is and Target architectural set-ups, gaps, and recommend improvements aligned with global retail ambitions.
- Bridge the understanding between business stakeholders in CD&G and the Retail Value stream, and technology teams.
- Support technology and vendor selection processes to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
- Design integrations across store systems, SAP S/4, procurement platforms, logistics systems, APIs, and store applications.
- Identify interdependencies and ensure solutions adhere to standards on data privacy, security, business continuity, and information security.
- Develop and communicate solution roadmaps and transition architectures for NCG capabilities.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure products and solutions are aligned with architectural standards and operational goals.
WHO YOU ARE:
Core Competencies
- Experience in retail technology solutions and the architecture for managing a store portfolio
- Ability to see the big picture, identify architectural patterns, and communicate concepts clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conceptualize solutions that are not yet concrete.
- Demonstrated ownership, attention to detail, and adherence to architectural governance.
- Depth in at least one architectural domain and breadth across several disciplines relevant to retail or supply-chain architecture.
NCG & Retail-Specific Skills:
- Understanding store portfolio management and NCG processes (ordering, consumption, replenishment, materials management, delivery, store development materials).
- Experience with procurement, sourcing, logistics, and supply chain flows.
- Knowledge of store technology ecosystems: POS, BOH systems, SAP integrations, scanning devices, inventory applications, store apps.
- Experience designing solutions integrated with SAP ECC or S/4HANA
- Familiarity with global rollouts, localization needs, compliance (GDPR, data governance), and scalable architectures.
Nice to Have
- 5+ years of experience building complex, integrated solutions.
- Experience working in Jira and Confluence.
- Background in retail assortment planning, procurement, product development, or retail operations.
- Deep experience with .NET/Azure and/or GCP/Python tech stacks.
- Experience with digital product creation (3D software, DAM, rendering pipelines).
- Experience with Azure Cloud, GCP, AI or Data Architecture.
Additional Information
Please note: As our culture and teamwork are very important to us, four days (80%) per week of in-office presence in our office are required.
This is a full-time position with placement in Stockholm.
