Junior Buyer - Womenswear

Job Description

As a Jr Buyer at Arket you actively support the senior buyer in driving growth, profitability and product development based on design direction and sales for our target customer in all sales channels. You actively support a Sr Buyer with daily tasks such as communication with our production offices, assortment planning, sample handling, placement and monitoring of orders, quantification of orders and wholesale administration. You take an active role in doing sales analysis, taking actions and follow-up. You will also be responsible for organizing fitting sessions.   

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Contribute to the product range based on visual goals, sales performance, growth potential, and profitability. 
  • Analyze sales and suggest actions based on insights. 
  • Participate in fitting sessions and manage sample handling processes. 
  • Maintain continuous contact with production offices regarding product development. 
  • Help the team meet timelines and keep deadlines. 
  • Place and follow up on orders. 
  • Support planning of quantities and budgets together with the Business Controller. 
  • Stay updated on trends, prices, and competitors, and share relevant findings. 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH  

You will collaborate closely with the Senior Buyer, Production offices, and Business Controllers. You will also interact with Wholesale and other cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless product development and buying process. WHO YOU ARE

  • Experience from retail and/or a buying position. 
  • Good English communication skills. 
  • Basic knowledge of materials and garment construction. 
  • A strong business sense and customer focus. 
  • Passion for fashion and trend analysis.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 In this role, you will have the flexibility to work both remotely and from the office. While remote working is part of our offer, approx. 4 days per week office presence is required to foster strong collaborations and teamwork.
