Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO​

As an Area Visual Merchandiser, you will be responsible for driving sales and customer experience by ensuring an exceptional visual presentation across multiple stores. You will lead and develop visual teams, ensuring they deliver inspiring and commercially competitive store environments while aligning with H&M’s global guidelines. Your expertise in visual merchandising, leadership, and trend analysis will be key to supporting store performance.

  • Inspire and coach store teams to implement the Commercial Handbook and visual merchandising best practices.
  • Ensure consistent visual standards across stores, maintaining an inspiring and commercially competitive presentation.
  • Support store teams with seasonal fashion insights, styling techniques, and trend forecasting.
  • Collaborate with store managers to implement the local commercial plan and execute sales campaigns.
  • Optimize visual merchandising routines, including sample picking, planning, and display management.
  • Plan and support new store openings, rebuilds, and visual maintenance projects.
  • Work closely with support office teams to communicate and uphold brand visual standards.

  • Store Visual Merchandisers & Visual Merchandising Managers to ensure visual consistency.
  • Store Management Teams to align visual strategies with business goals.
  • Sales Market Visual Team & Country VM to maintain brand standards and implement global guidelines.
  • Area HR & Talent Teams to support recruitment, training, and development of visual talent.
  • Expansion Teams to contribute to new store openings and store redesign projects.

You are a creative and commercially driven leader with a passion for fashion, visual merchandising, and team development. Your ability to combine trend insights with commercial goals will drive impactful visual presentations across stores.

This is a temporary contract for 12 months on a local contract based in Area 2 North, Uppsala, Sweden. For this role you would cover stores from Uppsala to Luleå. You will report to the Area Manager and be part of the Area Team.
