Job Description
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Business Expert within our Emerging Tech function, you’ll play a key role in bridging business and technology. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure our products deliver real value to customers and the business. You’ll be involved in ideation, development, and change management, helping drive innovation across H&M.
We are currently hiring for two Business Expert roles, each embedded in a different product team with distinct focus areas:
Role Track 1: Smart Store & Retail Operations
Team Focus: Store digitalization, customer-facing retail tech, and in-store experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive digital transformation in stores through mobile apps, POS systems, and smart store solutions.
- Collaborate with store teams to gather requirements and ensure successful adoption.
- Analyze user feedback and app usage data to guide product improvements.
- Lead change management and training initiatives for store staff.
Preferred Experience:
- Deep understanding of retail operations and workflows.
- Experience with smart store concepts and digital retail tools.
- Agile mindset and familiarity with product development processes.
Role Track 2: Inventory, Supply Chain & Merchandising
Team Focus: Internal operations, supply chain optimization, and merchandising processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide business expertise during ideation and development of new tech solutions.
- Investigate and redesign business processes across supply chain and merchandising.
- Act as a strategic partner to product managers, supporting prioritization and rollout.
- Collaborate across functions to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Preferred Experience:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain flows, merchandising, or store operations.
- Experience working within H&M or similar retail environments.
- Ability to connect business and tech perspectives to solve complex problems.

We are looking for people that have
- Retail operations & process knowledge – deep understanding of in-store operations, workflows, and challenges to ensure the app meets business and user needs.
- Experience in requirement gathering & stakeholder management – ability to collect and translate business requirements into clear specifications for development teams.
- Change management & user adoption experience in driving change, training store staff, and ensuring successful adoption of new digital tools.
- Be a natural point of contact, working to create understanding regarding the product purpose and plan, both within a product/between products and outside the product.
