WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire software life cycle—from design, development, testing, and release to ongoing maintenance. You will translate business needs into functional software and build solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and adaptable. By focusing on technical excellence, automation, and well-structured design, you will contribute to continuous delivery and high-quality software development.
You will work in a non-hierarchical environment that fosters collaboration, transparency, and trust. With full ownership and accountability, you will be focused on creating value, driving growth, and delivering exceptional customer and business outcomes.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will be part of the Product Information and Enrichment team within the Backend Center of Excellence (CoE) at H&M Group. Our mission is to enhance product information for customers, ensuring a seamless shopping experience from browsing to checkout. By developing customer-centric solutions, you will play a key role in enriching product data and improving the overall e-commerce experience.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, UX designers, and business stakeholders to create innovative and scalable solutions.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for candidates with:
Skills & Experience:
- Education: Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology (B.Tech/B.E/MS/MTech) from a premier engineering college.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Java backend development and related technologies.
- Backend Development: Strong coding skills in Java and Spring Boot.
- Testing & Quality: Experience in writing testable and high-quality code using JUnit and Mockito.
- API Design: Proficiency in RESTful API design and best practices.
- Microservices & Architecture: Expertise in Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture, along with a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Retail & E-commerce: Experience in customer-facing sites, ideally in retail and e-commerce.
- Enterprise Experience: Background in working with large enterprises and high-volume solutions.
