Job Description

As Business Controller for Warehouse operations, you are responsible to secure financial and analytical needs of the APAC Region, with a focus on cost improvement.  In addition, you will support regional controller with financial and quantitative insights and ensure financial reporting accuracy and review results & KPIs with each local Distribution Centres to achieve the best outcome for our customers.

To monitor and provide regular reports on performance across cost, service and sustainability, and get transparency and provide guidance from a financial perspective. You are the owner of the regional dashboards and reports, also leading the work to develop tools and enable a data driven way to identify trends, challenges and opportunities in APAC DCs.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible to monitor and provide regular reports on performance across cost, service and sustainability in the region/regional area, identifying trends and challenges, also providing transparency and guidance from a financial and operational perspective.
  • Ensure defined reporting guidelines and reporting frequency is followed for key performance metrics.
  • Contribute and support in the planning and prioritization of the regional/regional area budget definition including commercial spend.
  • Participate in forecasting activities from a financial and operational perspective.
  • Coordinate target definition process and follow-up for the region/regional area, leading activities to steer region/regional area towards defined global and regional targets, with focus on financial profitability and operational performance from an end-to-end logistics perspective.
  • Support in financial, operational and sustainability decisions making and analysis
  • Responsible for regional dashboards and reports, also providing support in ad-hoc data request and analysis, including monitoring overall consistency and quality.
  • Develop tools to improve operational and financial monitoring, e.g. live monitoring of logistics flows, leading the work to enable a data driven way to identify trends, challenges and opportunities in the region/regional area.
  • Act as stakeholder and advisor in regional business decisions through sound financial and quantitative analysis and input.
  • Act as stakeholder and support in regional commercial processes including e.g. vendor selection and vendor data analysis.
  • Actively stay up-to-date on global logistics end-to-end operational status, KPIs, issues and risks
  • Identify sustainability opportunities and challenges from a social, economic and environmental perspective.

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of controlling, logistics, related software and regional specifics, as well as operational capabilities.
  • Deep knowledge of logistics and regional specifics, as well as operational capabilities.
  • Good ability to collaborate, interact and navigate with central and regional teams and stakeholders, both internally and externally, with different level of seniority.
  • Strong collaborative approach for close internal and cross-functional management & working relations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
