Job Description

As a  Data Analyst in the value stream External Products and Partners, you will work closely with Project leaders, Controllers, Business Units and Product teams to create value from data while working towards the goal of improving data foundation and make it possible to evaluate and track the External Brand Business performance and future potentials for the H&M group.  

You will make sure to enable the right attributes and KPIs in the system to secure and develop analysis for external brands as well as finding the potential in data together with other stakeholders for further developments.  

You will work with multiple complex data sources, prepare data, aggregate, and transform both structured & unstructured data. You will create analysis, build reporting tools and dashboards, and products around data, while securing the realization of business value from data.  

This is a highly technical, analytical, and business oriented role that secures analysis and reporting for External Brands. Your focus will be transforming and visualizing large amount of data for many users in a complex data environment. You will be cooperating with large amounts of stakeholders coming from different backgrounds both internally and externally, why we need you to be able to project lead and take own initiatives.  

You will work in a dynamic and diverse team where you will be the main responsible for data and reports for the External Brand business. In this role you will be able to drive change, have the possibility to influence and develop and structure the data possibilities for the external brand business. To succeed you will also need to be able to communicate clearly with many different stakeholders, be curious to solve technical problems and strive to truly understand our business.  

Tasks includes but are not limited to: 

  • Define needs of and set-up measurable KPI’s on different levels of granularity and maintain their visualization by creating and maintaining intuitive dashboards   
  • Data prep: get the data from multiple complex data sources (APIs, databases, etc.)​, clean and transform the data, develop data flows   
  • Be responsible for data availability and data quality of the value stream (ex: identifying missing data, troubleshooting with responsible data team, ...)  
  • Combine, explore, and draw valuable insights from data. Work with large and complex data assets from different parts of the business   
  • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets to enable the business to take data-driven decisions   
  • Be responsible for external brand data integration with the existing business and business way of working  

 

Qualifications

  • ​​​​3+ years of experience working as a Data Analyst or similar relevant experience  
  • Academic degree within Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or similar   
  • Ability to communicate and explain data and its implications to various stakeholders   
  • Ability to advise the business in the best solution from both a business and technical perspective   
  • Experience working within ecommerce, preferably in a multi-channel retail setting  
  • Ability to work with large and complex data sets. SQL skills is required (SSMS and BigQuery are preferred) 
  • Experience in data visualization (Power BI)  
  • Experience in data modelling and DAX  
  • Experience using numerical, statistical, and analytical methods to apply to  data processing   
  • Ability to translate business requirements into analytical requirements   
  • Ability to align assignments with the strategic goals of the business ​   
  • Ability to establish priorities with clear goals and responsibilities to achieve a high level of performance
